First wave of refugees to United States from Pacific camps imminent


He did not specify how many more would be accepted. Numerous refugees have been on Manus Island and Nauru for more than four years since the processing centres were first reopened under the former Labor government. It appears that they fired off at least 10 shots, hitting Fif and ultimate killing him. Two unidentified men opened fire on OVO Sound employee Anthony "Fif" Soares in the lobby of a building just before 3am last Thursday. Soares, who was shot numerous times at close range, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he later died.
