Apple’s next iPhone could have a USB Type-C port

There's a long-standing rumor that Apple will ditch the proprietary Lightning connector on the iPhones for USB-C and it seems like 2019 is the year rumors turn into reality. Furthermore, if this number is accurate, the iPhone 11R will feature the largest capacity single cell battery that Apple has ever put in an iPhone. And if recent reports are to be believed, the next iPhone XR will gain an additional rear camera as well, which will make it even more appealing to Apple fans on a budget when it launches this fall.

Apple will unveil the new-generation iPhone lineup in September, and this time there will be three different models going live, all of them successor to the current versions already on the market. Then again, Apple's visuals are usually pretty specific. Interestingly, iMore had used the new recovery system in an iOS 13 downgrade guide without realizing the change. So, the experts were predicting the new and upgraded iOS might be the selling point of the 2019 iPhones. "With iTunes now being replaced, Apple has had to update the image but the company appears to have missed the big giveaway it reveals".

Apple recently launched an ad campaign touting the long-lasting battery of the iPhone XR, which has been Apple's best seller in the USA since it launched last fall with the iPhone XS and XS Max.

While this amount doesn't sound like a huge increase, worth noting that iPhone XR was able to outperform its siblings in terms of battery life. "As the ridicule builds regarding their controversial new designs, the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max need an image boost so letting the world quietly know the range is moving to USB-C would be a great way to do just that".
