Meghan Markle, Prince Harry to keep royal baby's arrival private

15 April 2019

Earlier this week, Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, announced their intention to keep the birth of their first child private.

"A child that feels heard feels understood", she tells Yahoo UK's 'The Royal Box'.

While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are anticipating the arrival of their first-born, rumours have it that the royal couple might have already become parents, largely in light of an ambiguous statement that Buckingham Palace released on Thursday, stating that the couple's plans around the birth will be held privately.

Despite feeling that the public has the wrong idea about Markle, King explained that she's in good spirits ahead of the birth of her first child with Prince Harry.

Discussing the strained father-daughter relationship, Larcombe, author of Prince Harry: The Inside Story, revealed he believes Thomas will have little chance of getting to know the newest member of the British royal family, when the duke and duchess welcome their first child in the coming weeks.

"Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private".

The palace would not confirm whether Meghan and Harry were planning on having their baby at home at their newly-renovated Frogmore Cottage or in a nearby hospital. Beginning the next day, on 20 March, Meghan is known to have gone on her maternity leave, which means that almost a month had passed before the Palace statement arrived. Anything the Queen can do, right?

It is understood they will still pose for a photograph at some stage following the birth, but this will not be a large-scale media moment as we've seen before. Meghan's mum Doria Ragland is due to fly in to meet her new grandchild as well.

Oprah Winfrey was one of many famous faces at Harry and Meghan's wedding.

The special event usually takes place when the bub is two to four months old - so will we have to wait that long to get a glimpse of Baby Sussex? Possibly. After Prince Louis's birth, Kensington Palace tweeted about the state of mom Middleton and baby.

Side note - the youngest Cambridge was snapped by mum Kate - will Harry or Megs jump behind the camera themselves when the time comes?
