Royal Household to be split within weeks!

21 February 2019

According to The Sunday Times, the princes are now set to create separate courts ahead of the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's first child.

The division of their shared household after 10 years reflects their increasingly different responsibilities, with William set to take on additional duties as a future king after father Charles. Nikkhah also calls the "formal separation" a necessary step for the two families moving forward, especially as the brothers and their wives have very differing responsibilities.

Prince Harry and Meghan will move to Frogmore Cottage near Windsor Castle, which is about 32 km west of their current residence at Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace, it said.

Despite the move, the royal couple's office will continue to be based at Kensington Palace.

LONDON: The royal household of Prince William and Prince Harry will be split within weeks, said a source.

Meghan and Harry are now renovating Frogmore Cottage, which previously served as housing to palace workers and was comprised of several different living units. Aside from the initial knocking-down of walls to rejoin the separate units within the home, Harry and Meghan are also understood to be adding a green energy unit for heating and water purposes, multiple fireplaces, and multiple staircases.

As Prince William becomes the Prince of Wales, the title his father now holds, he will have a lot of responsibility, including that of the Duchy of Cornwall.

Kensington Palace has been a residence of the British royal family since the 17th century.

Furthermore, the same outlet also noted that the fashion designer who introduced Meghan and Harry, Misha Nonoo, attended ACS Egham's sister school in Cobham, Surrey so maybe she recommended it to them!
