10 February 2019

Players will be able to use Geralt's weapons and abilities to take down this enemy and will be able to engage with various characters to influence the direction of the story. A few weeks later, a release date for the collaboration was announced, and a trailer was revealed, showing Geralt arriving via portal in the Monster Hunter setting.

The Monster Hunter World Witcher crossover event that was announced in December 2019 begins today, February 7. After you complete the assignment, the Geralt α full armor set will be available for crafting, as well as the Sword & Shieldweapon Witcher's Silver Sword for your Hunter.

As part of a free title update, players can look forward to a new questline for Monster Hunter World featuring everyone's favourite monster hunter, Geralt of Rivia.

The rewards for completing both contracts are pretty nifty too: "Contract: Trouble in the Ancient Forest" will grant you resources for crafting Geralt's armour and weapon set, a new skin and weapon for your Palico companion, and new gestures, titles, and poses. Players with Hunter Rank 50 or above can participate in 'Contract: Woodland Spirit, ' a new "extremely challenging" timed event that pits players against a much deadlier form of the Leshen. "Contract: Woodland Spirit" will only be available for a limited time, until March 1st, 00:59 AM CET.

Of course, we'll let you know the moment the PC release date drops.

Many fans presumed this The Witcher 3 and Monster Hunter: World crossover would simply be an armor and weapon update of sorts. The festival brings back most of the game's prior event quests and some new ones. CD Projekt Red developed The Witcher trilogy, after acquiring rights to make video games based on the books by Andrej Sapkowski.
