Unai Emery 'wants to sell Mesut Ozil this month'

Declan Rice has been grabbing all the headlines on Sunday morning following his match-winning display for West Ham against Arsenal on Saturday which saw him score his first Hammers goal.

'Simply because he should have the opportunity to either play his way into form or get him on there and he'll play himself out of form so we can see exactly what is happening with Mesut Ozil.

But when pushed over why he opted to leave Ozil at home for the short trip to east London, Emery claimed all of those players who did make the trip deserved to be there.

"If we want to be up there, we have to win".

The Austria global has been heavily linked with a move to a Chinese club, with his brother also coming out to suggest the devastating attacker wants to leave the Hammers.

Ozil has not turned out for Arsenal in the Premier League since Boxing Day and was left out of the squad for Saturday's clash with West Ham United despite being available following a slight knee issue.

"We'll see what happens in the next days", Pellegrini told Sky Sports.

"I have been in this position a lot of time in my 30 years, but I'm calm with nothing 100 per cent sure (regarding Arnautovic's future)". The Gunners have been missing a spark, suffering three defeats from their last six league games, including yesterday's disappointing 1-0 defeat to West Ham. "I think the most important thing for us is to recover our confidence and be more competitive".

Mundo Deportivo reports that Suarez is keen on a move in order to reunite with his former boss Unai Emery, whose relationship with the 25-year-old is said to be a significant factor in Arsenal's attempt to lure the Spaniard over to the Emirates.

He is yet to decide whether to represent England or the Republic of Ireland at global level, but Pellegrini is sure that whichever nation he opts to play for will benefit.
