Golden Globes 2019: Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg to Host

06 December 2018

The Golden Globes Awards honor the best of both worlds every year, with statuettes handed out to the cream of the crop in television and film.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has finally found its Golden Globes hosts a month before the show, announcing Thursday that Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh will emcee the 76th edition of the awards.

Samberg is a two-time Golden Globe Award victor for Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Oh won a Golden Globe in 2006 for her performance on Grey's Anatomy.

In an announcement on Wednesday, NBC Entertainment co-chairmen Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks called Oh and Samberg the "perfect choices" for the prestigious event.

"Sandra and Andy are the ideal choices to host this world-class event", Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks, co-chairmen, NBC Entertainment, said in a statement.

What do you think of Oh and Sambergas Golden Globes hosts? While Oh does not appear to have any past award show hosting credits, Samberg has hosted both the Independent Spirit Awards and the Emmys. "This innovative pairing sets the ideal tone for the most entertaining awards celebration of the year".

While it is unclear if Samberg may be nominated in the Best Actor - Television Series Musical or Comedy category, many have speculated that Oh could be nominated for her work on Killing Eve.
