Trump begins final election sprint

04 November 2018

With days to go before the midterm elections, US President Donald Trump, in hopes of maintaining a Republican-controlled Congress, recently tweeted a video that appears to depict Latinos as murderers and inherently unsafe individuals.

US President Donald Trump arrives for a campaign rally at Southport High School in Indianapolis. He also talked about the low unemployment rate.

"More Americans are working right now, today, in this country, than have ever worked in this country before", Trump said.

A military spokesman said that more than 7,000 U.S. soldiers will be positioned in states bordering Mexico by the end of the weekend. Rather, allegations of corruption have alienated some New Jersey voters. Elizabeth Warren of MA, both considered possible 2020 contenders.

"Democrats are openly encouraging millions of illegal aliens to break our laws, violate our sovereignty, overrun our borders and destroy our nation in so many ways", Mr Trump said at a rally in Pensacola, Florida, that lasted about 80 minutes.

President Donald Trump says a video he tweeted showing a Mexican migrant in a courtroom smiling and boasting about killing police officers is tough "but correct".

At an airport rally earlier Friday in Huntington, West Virginia, Trump opened his final sprint to the midterms by defending his decision to tweet a video warning of people crossing into the USA illegally at the border with Mexico.

He says Obama's pledge that "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" under the Affordable Care Act proved false.

Trump also says he told the US military mobilizing at the southwest border that if USA troops face rock-throwing migrants, they should react as though the rocks were "rifles".

"This is one of the most important elections in our entire lives", he told supporters in Montana.

Knight coached the Indiana University basketball team for almost 30 years, winning three NCAA championships. Democrats and Republicans blasted the video as "racist".

President Donald Trump is blaming the media - without evidence - for politically motivated and hate-based violence. "'Don't worry about it, I'll just figure it out.'" Trump said.

Luis Bracamontes, the "illegal immigrant" turned death row inmate featured in the ad, is described as someone the Democrats let into the US.

The ad then turns to footage of the caravan of Central American migrants making their way towards the USA border.

"But that being said, there is certainly common ground in areas that we can work [with Democrats] that the president has laid out", he continued.

He encouraged the revved-up crowd to also vote for Mike Braun-a patriot, fighter, winner, and very successful guy-for U.S. Senate.

Trump effusively praised Morrisey, the state's attorney general, saying that "he'll always vote for us".

"We will consider that the maximum that we can consider that because they're throwing rocks viciously and violently", he said Thursday.

27 states plus the District of Columbia have recorded more early votes at this point in the campaign than they did in all of 2014, according to The Election Project at the University of Florida, which tracks turnout.

Trump listed Donnelly's voting against tax cuts and joining the Democrat "mob" to vote against Justice Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation.

On the flip side, if Republicans maintain control of the House and Senate, that's note only a victory for the GOP, but a validation of Trump's brand of politics and his unconventional presidency. He was the only Democrat to have voted for Kavanaugh.

President Trump told reporters Friday the military "won't have to fire" on migrants if they throw rocks at the military or other federal officials at the border.

The White House did not reveal for whom the Trumps cast ballots.

Republicans outpaced Democrats in all other counties.
