Khabib Nurmagomedov takes swipe at Dana White following UFC 229

12 October 2018

The worldwide online betting group revealed that amongst their customers, this weekend's fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor was the most popular fight in the sport's history.

McGregor was beaten for only the fourth time when he tapped out in the fourth round following Nurmagomedov administering a rear-naked choke. The NSAC is also holding Nurmagomedov's $2 million fight purse for the event, pending an investigation. At that point, two more of Nurmagomedov's cornermen began attack mcGregor, leading to an all out brawl in the octagon. According to White, several members of Nurmagomedov's team were arrested but McGregor has declined to press charges.

Now, the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), who sanctioned the bout, has confirmed that McGregor is suspended from fighting until November 6, with no contact until October 28, which is a routine medical precaution in UFC. After talking with aksakals and wise countrymen, they made a decision to move to other heights.

"I don't think there are too many people that don't understand why he did it but he shouldn't have done it", White said. But it is actually amusing, I was just thinking about this, you know that right hand, if you showed it to a boxing coach he would say "That's terrible".

White's BMW can probably rest easy, as White told TMZ on Monday that Nurmagomedov would "absolutely" not be stripped of his title, though he could be receiving a six-figure fine sometime soon. "They should not be able to keep his whole purse". "He's the world champion".

Stefer further maintained that Khabib's post-fight incident cannot be justified since it could set a bad example for public in general and underage children who watched the match. He just beat Conor in front of the entire world.

Rizvan Magomedov is seen taunting Conor McGregor's training partner, Dillon Danis, in the seconds immediately after the fight.

"If you want Khabib", said Rockhold, a former UFC middleweight champion, "he'll want a record-breaking number".
