XXXTentacion's Mother Accepts His Award for Favorite Soul/R&B Album at AMAs

So many intelligent, thoughtful, self-possessed people have turned 18 in the past two years and now have the right and privilege to make their vote count. "I love you guys".

Swift made history by becoming the most decorated woman in the show's history with a total of 23 AMAs. This was Swift's first awards show performance in nearly three years - and the first of her Reputation era - and she definitely came back with a bang.

Cardi was nominated for eight awards tonight, tying her with Drake as the most-nominated artist.

Earlier in the evening, Cardi won her first award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist.

"I really want to thank my daughter, " said Cardi B, who gave birth to Kulture Kiari Cephus in July.

"We did not know we was winning this at all, " said Quavo, also giving a shout-out to group member Takeoff, who didn't attend the AMAs.

"[If] you didn't want to hang out with us, we wouldn't have been on an amazingly fun stadium tour", she said.

On Tuesday, the Fearless singer told the American Music Awards audience in Los Angeles and millions watching at home to go and vote. Khalid, Quavo and Offset were some of the audience members dancing along, while others sang and some even filmed her with their phones.

Other performers on the night included Taylor Swift, Camila Cabello, and some other people but we've forgotten because none of them came close to this certified mome.

XXXTentacion won for Favorite Album - Soul/R&B, after his death in June. He also just received posthumously the Best New Artist Award at the BET Hip-Hop Awards last weekend as well. Her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me.

Migos were acknowledged as the favourite duo in the Pop/Rock category, while Mendes won the Adult Contemporary Artist. At the Disco. The diva quota will be filled by headliners Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood, Mariah Carey and the ever-provocative Cardi B.
