EPL: Ian Wright reveals why Arsenal must allow Ramsey leave

10 October 2018

There is a growing sense of optimism around the club following the unbeaten run and fans could be heard singing "We've got our Arsenal back" during the game at Craven Cottage on the weekend.

The season got off to a poor start as Arsenal lost their opening two games to Manchester City and Chelsea but they have won their last six in the league since.

The 27-year-old Welshman, who has scored the victor in two FA Cup finals during his decade in north London and capped off a fine move in the weekend win at Fulham with his first goal of the season, wants to be on similar money to Arsenal's most recent big-name buys. The Frenchman opened the scoring midway through the first half, calmly turning and finishing from inside the box before Fulham equalised on the stroke of half time through Andre Schurrle.

Aubameyang's arrival cast doubt on Lacazette's future at the club but the pair have clicked on and off the pitch, mustering 11 goals between them this season.

Although Emery has said he would like to keep Ramsey, who is Arsenal's longest serving player after joining in 2008, Arsenal are keen to keep their wage bill under control and look willing to allow the Welshman to leave on a free transfer, just as Jack Wilshere did during the close season.

Aubameyang quickly emerged as a force following his January move from Borussia Dortmund, but the Gabon striker's arrival pushed Lacazette into a bit-part role. He's played at Arsenal for 10 years - and all these games for Wales. We will enjoy it, we are working well and we want to continue like this.

"He is like my brother, every day we talk, we love to work together and today in front of the goal and we score, for us, two goals, which is good".
