Later she confirmed the same to the news agency IANS via SMS, saying that it is Alok Nath and her calling him "sanskaari" would do the needful. It (rape) must have happened, but someone else would have done it (sic).
The nation woke up to the shocking news of Vinta Nanda recounting the details of the horrific night, when Alok Nath had allegedly raped her.
As said by Vinta in the Facebook post, Alok too mentioned that Vinta was a good friend of him once and also took credit for making her big.
"I started to walk home on the empty streets. It is high time", she said in the statement.
After her successful TV show, Tara, was shut down, Nanda said, Nath invited her to a party.
Journalist Sandhya Menon who has been one of the main drivers of this phase of the movement in the country, has been sharing the deeply disturbing allegations she has been receiving from diverse women professionals made against industry stalwarts.
TV actor Navneet Nishan has supported a veteran TV writer-producer's allegations against Alok Nath while confirming the harassment she faced at the hands of the actor. "It was a nervous breakdown I was going through, but I was trying to be fearless", she wrote, "I tried to pick up the threads of my life but channels and networks and sets and rehearsals started to freak me out".
Nanda also shared that Alok Nath "brutalised" at her own residence after offering to drop her home from a party.
Nanada went on to write that her drink was mixed with sedative during the party and she began to feel 'strange.' "As the evening flowed, my drinks were mixed and I began to feel odd". After the actress complained, Vinta removed the accused actor from the show. The lady has said that she was raped more than 19 years ago. He also said that it was "useless" to comment on such allegations as the world had become biased towards women.
The production team had chose to remove him from the show, she adds. "I will be exploring things, I want to protect myself". "In such a situation, it would be wrong to say anything", he added.
"He continued to drink till the time he was called for the shot", she added, "When the moment came and the camera rolled, he felt up our female lead and very viciously".
