Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has claimed he is "in the dark" over Paul Pogba's outspoken agent Mino Raiola's intentions for the French World Cup victor. Marcus Rashford is not Dominic Solanke, not Ruben Loftus-Cheek, not Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
"I am very happy with the points", said Mourinho.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho turned on the pundits once more on Friday as he launched a detailed defence of his use of England worldwide striker Marcus Rashford.
"He's Marcus Rashford, Manchester United player, with an incredible number of appearances and an incredible number of minutes played at the highest level in the best possible competitions".
"The only thing I don't like in Chris in this moment is the haircut but I am nobody to tell him that", Mourinho said.
"He has still played a lot of football, although maybe not the continuous starts, and I'm really pleased for him that he leaves here full of confidence".
United then thought they had their first goal through Alexis Sanchez as he slotted home from a lofted ball played in by Matic, but a raised flag put an end to the celebrations.
Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku defended Jose Mourinho's confrontational style of management, saying that the Portuguese deserves respect for not hiding his true feelings like several Premier League bosses.
A defeat for United would have seen them suffer three losses in their opening five Premier League games for the first time, but they picked up where they left off against Burnley prior to the worldwide break, professionally dealing with an in-form Watford side.
A move to another club could provide more playing time but sticking at United will help him win silverware.
"Everton is a club where someone like a Rashford knows he can play every week".
"So Paul, if you want to go play somewhere else, let's make that work for you because Manchester United will be fine, don't worry about that".
"But again, media is very important and I think it's important the Manchester United supporters know the truth". He'll never be United's most popular player, but he can still be one of their most useful.
"Against Brighton we didn't deserve to win, against Tottenham I think we did - but (in the two games we conceded) six goals and made defensive mistakes".
Mourinho joked about this when defending his deployment of the player. "Contrary to some news, to some opinions by the protocol point of view and according to our doctor, he will be free to play".
