Naomi Osaka "Not Sad" About Serena Controversy Overshadowing US Open Win

15 September 2018

A WTA Tour star has called out Serena Williams over her "bulls-t" US Open final meltdown.

Williams accused Ramos of sexism during the US Open final in NY, branding him a "thief" and a "liar" after he issued her with a series of code violations.

"This is a bulls***, for umpires being women or men doesn't matter", Strycova told Sport.CZ, The Daily Telegraph reported. "I have a daughter, and I stand for what's right for her", Williams shouted.

The Women's Tennis Association also backed Williams, with their CEO Steve Simon saying, "The WTA believes that there should be no difference in the standards of tolerance provided to the emotions expressed by men versus women. I'm too young to be stressed out like this", Osaka quipped after DeGeneres put her phone down. Will rules change in Serena's matches?

"Ramos is tough, one of the best umpires in the world", Strycova said.

Both during the match and in the aftermath, Williams made claims that the penalties against her came from a sexist umpire. American Serena Williams and Japan's Naomi Osaka were competing in the championship. "If it's like this, let me know", Strycova said.

It is well known that Williams is one of Osaka's idols but she's now opened up on how she narrowly avoided bumping into another of her heroes at the US Open. She was called on three violations over the course of the match.

While Williams was fined $17,000, she had some very vocal support from the governing body.

"Do you know how many other men do things that are much worse than that? He's never taken a game from a man because they said 'thief".

Ramos has received support from the International Tennis Federation (ITF). "I think a lot of it maybe got over-amplified because it was the finals of the US Open".

However, a perusal of Knight's body of editorial cartoons shows that no one is safe from his criticism and he regularly depicts all sorts of public figures in an unflattering light, grossly exaggerating their physical features.
