Real Madrid excited by Courtois' desire to return to the Spanish capital

France striker Olivier Giroud is confident that Les Blues will be able to score past his Chelsea team-mate Thibaut Courtois when they face Belgium in the World Cup semi-final on Tuesday.

Real Madrid's efforts to bring David De Gea to the Spanish capital seem to have petered out and the fact that Courtois has completely outmatched his closest contestant in terms of performances at this World Cup will definitely prompt Los Blancos to try and act quickly.

Dave Maddock actually reports that Loris Karius will be Jürgen Klopp's no.1 again next season despite his woeful display against Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

Alisson now on holiday after Brazil's World Cup exit.

"In the match against Brazil, our defensive system changed and they didn't expect it".

"Now we're one, only one team, with a well-defined attack and the same at the back".

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, the Spaniard said that Roma have not received any offers for Alisson just yet but are willing to listen and evaluate any new deals, "It's the same as Florenzi, nothing has changed, because so far we have not received any offers, I'd say it is odd to claim we have a price-tag in mind, because if we haven't received any bids, we can't think about a price".

"This World Cup can mark our generation and we must be totally focused".

Just like they pushed for a blockbuster deal to bring James Rodriguez to the Santiago Bernabeu after the World Cup in Brazil back in 2014, Real Madrid are expected to be in contention to land some of the best performers from this year's tournament in Russian Federation.

Whilst Navas has been impressing at the Santiago Bernabeu this season, it is expected that Perez will make a number of changes to the personnel at the club next summer.

Speaking at a press conference to unveil new signings Ante Coric and William Bianda, the club's sporting director Monchi was asked for an update on the goalkeeper and Alessandro Florenzi, who has also been linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico.
