After not being selected in the 2018 NBA Draft, former Kansas guard Malik Newman has agreed to a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to Yahoo Sports. With five picks left to play with and a stockpile of present and future assets, expect plenty of movement from Brett Brown's squad on draft night. His play subsequently earned him the distinction of Most Outstanding Player in the Final Four.

But before the Lakers find out whether Paul George, LeBron James or Kawhi Leonard will land in Hollywood, they added Wagner to their foundation of young talent including Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart.
The Lakers worked out 125 players over the past few months.
