Apple Pay now supports Monzo to help you spend with your iPhone

To use Apple Pay, which has now been added to the Monzo app, customers just need to add their card to the wallet, or from the Monzo app, and can then pay with it across all businesses that accept contactless payment.

Apple Pay support has also rolled out for Monzo, a United Kingdom "bank of the future" which is an internet-only bank that lets customers access its services only through its iOS and Android apps.

Pay on the go using Monzo with Apple Pay. And when you sign an NDA with Apple it's not untypical for it to stipulate that you don't talk about said NDA. You can also use Apple Pay to easily check out on online store websites that feature an Apple Pay button. Industry insiders tell me that Google Pay has less hurdles to jump in comparison.

You can either setup your iPhone with Apple Pay through the Wallet app (we have a handy guide on that here) or directly through the Monzo app. Instead, "a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on your device..."

Cue Monzo's Tom Blomfield waxing lyrical in a company statement about Apple's design and UX. Authorizing the purchase is as simple as scanning your fingerprint with Touch ID or looking at the display for Face ID on iPhone X. There is no additional fee for using Apple Pay.

We'd really love to have done this sooner and we're sorry it's taken so long. Apple Pay has been by far the most requested feature over the last few months, and we're glad that it's finally here!
