Cordova added three more runs in the second inning for a 7-2 advantage.

"Raben Reed gets his first varsity win against Sullivan East", Blue Devil head coach Chad Gillis said. "And then Baker had got us going with a hit and it just started adding on and hitting was contagious and we all just got in and had fun". Oliver Ames improved to 1-2 after dropping games to North Attleboro and Franklin. Landen Vesley was 2-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI; Drew Ackman was 3-for-4 with a double and three runs scored; Clevenger was 2-for-2 with three RBIs and three runs scored; Bartel was 1-for-2 with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored; and Gehrig Koerner was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Kourtney Sanchious and Meagan Butler both went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Lady Bulldogs. But he's done a fantastic job behind the plate while also being one of our leading hitters. "That's unlike us. I think we had a lot more confidence being we were playing at home and had our crowd behind us". "Even from one inning to the next, whether it was the mound, a different step, it was just a constant game of adjustments trying to work my fastball because that's basically all I was working with".

Joey Acosta went five innings and struck out six. "Cam came in and closed it out for us".

"Coming in, we were a little anxious about Randy", Fairmont head coach Sandy Thorndyke said. "We gave them some runs, but we battled back ..."

Berkeley Springs took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on Cain's RBI triple. It was Lee's first appearance on the mound this season after dealing with shoulder pain. "Those plays are what won us the game".

Doubles winners included Vidisha Patel-Elsyse Rendon (6-1, 6-1), Alondra Gomez-Mariel Miranda (6-1, 6-2) and David Brown-Breck Miner (6-7 (3), 6-4, 10-7). The final score was 11-10 and the other team ended the game with the tying run on third base. The first game was actually a really good game.

Hettinger picked up the win and Jake Sonandres had two hits and two runs scored for West. "He came in and threw strikes and did what I asked".

"This game was huge to bounced back after losing at the end Thursday night", Lee said. "[The team] graduated nine seniors past year and most of those kids played regularly, so we don't have a lot of varsity experience".

"He can run, hit and throw", McLaury said.

Trailing 8-1, Rock Creek began the charge in the bottom of the second with a walk by Brook Dillon. "We really wanted to get out of here because it's cold".

"It feels great, however 16-0 doesn't get your 17-0 and 16-1 doesn't get you 17-1, so you have to play it one game and see what happens", McLaury said. Abby Brown had 2 doubles.

The Tornadoes enter the week with a 3-13 record. Upcoming games for the Blue Devils include: Trigg County at Hunter Wright Stadium on Thursday, April 5, at 5:15 p.m.; Caldwell County at Dobyns-Bennett at 4 p.m. and Seymour at Hunter Wright Stadium at 7 p.m. both on Friday, April 6. Curry plays at Sumiton Christian on Monday.

Richfield High School's baseball team took the long bus ride April 5, to split a pair of games with host San Juan.
