Fast moving system brings rain and snow to central Montana

16 April 2018

A strong spring storm will continue to bring winterlike weather to eastern Iowa tonight and Sunday. Scattered rain is possible for the drive in, and snow could mix in at times. "These are could see 2 to 5" of snow, with locally higher amounts possible.

This week starts cool and windy, but conditions improve quickly and dramatically through the week! High 60 early but temperatures falling into the 50s by the afternoon.

A winter weather advisory was issued for McHenry, Lake and Boone counties Monday morning as snow showers moved out of Wisconsin and across the northeast corner of IL, slowing the morning commute.

In the afternoon rain chances lull but they don't clear completely.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy, breezy and colder with a chance of snow showers.

Light to moderate snow is expected to fall this morning over parts of Chicago and the northern suburbs, making for slippery roads during the Monday morning commute.
