Fayose, he stated, will be made to account for the gross mismanagement of the state's resources and allocation in the last four years.
"They are now dangling their white paper".
The former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dayo Adeyeye, said that the party has the chance of winning Ekiti State Governorship election, if it could conduct credible and transparent primary.
"Those of us who traveled out of Ekiti, we are being insulted, assaulted and mocked on daily basis asking why Ekiti they thought were well read, refined and exposed could make a character like Governor Ayodele Fayose as their governor".
"Under my government, I increased the salary of workers from N5,000 to N7,000 and from N7,000 to N13,000 and later N19,300".
He was governor between October 16, 2010 and October 15, 2014, after he was defeated by Mr. Fayose at the polls.
Fayemi vowed that Fayose would be brought to justice at the end of his tenure on how he has managed all the funds received from the federal government on behalf of the state. Modupe Adelabu; Nigeria's Ambassador to Hungary, Dr. Eniola Ajayi and other officials who served in his administration to the APC secretariat where he officially informed party leaders of his intent to run.
The battle for the number one seat in Oke Bareke, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, has begun.
Fayemi had on April 2, during the quarterly meeting of the Ekiti APC leaders at his Isan Ekiti country home, indicated that he would be seeking APC's ticket to return as the state governor.
Fayemi said: "When I come before you, it is with profound need for the unfinished business, we need to complete what we started, reclaim our land and restore our land".
He said that while there was nothing wrong in a governor supporting a particular aspirant, what was bad was the coercing of party members to endorse the so called anointed candidate. "Actually we are contesting against the governor".
"My convictions about how much more is possible in Ekiti stem not from any sense of entitlement but from a sense of service of obligation and posterity that positioned us for a time like this". We will never hesitate to leave the comfort of Abuja.
"The insinuations from the ruling party in the state that Otunba Segun Adewale is not contesting in the forthcoming governorship election of 2018 is false, wicked, mischievous and a mere political propaganda emanating from the jittery camp of political gladiators threatened by the soaring popularity of our aspirant - Otunba Segun Adewale who has volunteered to pay from his private purse three months salary arrears to all the civil servants in Ekiti state devastated by unpaid eight months salary arrears by the present dictatorial government marauding herself as friend of the masses", Eponpolaye added.
"There is much that we have to fix and redress in Ekiti before we can go forward". "They will accuse us of using federal might, but we will not care".
