Trump fires his personal assistant, John McEntee, then Trump campaign hires him

President Trump's personal assistant was let go on Monday - escorted from the White House without being allowed to get his coat, according to reports. CNN added more specifically that McEntee is "currently under investigation by the Department of Homeland Security for serious financial crimes".

Senior administration officals told the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday that McEntee was escorted out of the White House on Monday. McEntee was subsequently hired as a senior advisor on Trump's reelection campaign.

McEntee was UConn's leading passer in 2011, but he threw for just 2,110 yards at 6.3 yards per attempt with 12 touchdowns and eight picks.

McEntee became internet famous around this time seven years ago with his trick shot video. He was known for keeping a remarkably low profile, and the former Fox News production assistant was well-liked in the West Wing, according to Politico. McEntee's role was described as "body man", always staying by Trump's side.
