Rocket League RC Toy Set Announced from Hot Wheels and Psyonix

14 February 2018

Rocket League pits rocket-powered Battle-Cars into intense soccer matches on almost every video game system, and now it's becoming a real-life Hot Wheels set.

The Hot Wheels Rocket League Rivals RC Set, which will cost $179.99, will also come with codes for downloadable content in Rocket League.

Rocket League is definitely one of the more unrealistic games out there.

The entire set is really something to behold. The game ball transmits an IR signal, so when the ball passes through the goal, the entire thing explodes. It comes with a tiny stadium with infrared sensors in the goals and LCD scoreboards. Due for release this fall, the set contains bluetooth-connected Octane and Dominus Battle-Cars that you can control using your smartphone or tablet.

It looks like Mattel and Psyonix aren't ending their relationship here. To see more of this awesome toy set, Hot Wheels is revealing it at the New York Toy Fair event.

"We're thrilled to further our partnership with Hot Wheels and bring Rocket League to life with this upcoming toy set", Jeremy Dunham, Vice President of Publishing at Psyonix stated. But that's just the beginning of what we have planned.

Rocket League has found its way onto a variety of gaming platforms, such as the PC and consoles, and now if you're looking for a new way of enjoying the game, you'll be interested to learn that Hot Wheels has announced a real-life Rocket League.
