Rafael Benitez not afraid to go defensive against Manchester United

The United boss believes English football traditions are "really attractive, " even if eyebrows were raised by some of the treatment new boy Alexis Sanchez got during his home debut against Huddersfield.

But Benitez was philosophical when asked about the threat posed by the Chile global.

"I had a few laughing over the past week because I heard and watched, read a few things, and I'm not English but I think I understand English enough when you want to say box to box", Mourinho a news conference on Friday.

Daley Blind and Eric Bailly are still out for United while Mourinho puts Shaw's rise down to staving off niggling injuries.

Pogba, meanwhile, will be the driving force of the Manchester United attack that could look to attack from the wings with pace, meaning there could be a recall for Anthony Martial, with Alexis Sanchez on the opposite flank.

They are a big club.

"It's true. I think it's the only stadium in the Premier League (I have not won at) - also Huddersfield but I played there only once".

Manchester United travel to St. James' Park this Sunday. I like to go there, but I couldn't win, I lost and drew a few times.

A fine start in the northeast.

Kenedy does have experience of playing at left-back, as it was a role he was often given at Chelsea. After an underwhelming loan spell at Watford last season, the latest at Newcastle offers him a chance to rediscover his best. He will need to produce an outing similar to last weekend if the Magpies hope to take anything away from the game.

However, Mourinho isn't underestimating Newcastle given his poor record at St James' Park ahead of Sunday's clash. The Belgian striker - who is still the Reds' top scorer this season with 19 goals in all competitions - is also in good form of late, having been involved in six goals (four goals and two assists) in his last six games.

"But then so many opinions, and we are in a world of opinions, and people can get a little bit confused but between me and Paul there is no confusion".
