Brazil Index MSCI Ishares (EWZ)'s Williams Percent Range or 14 day Williams %R now sits at -4.99. Although the CCI indicator was developed for commodities, it has become a popular tool for equity evaluation as well. Simply put, the ATR determines the volatility of a security over a given period of time, or the tendency of the security to move one direction or another.

Some investors may find the Williams Percent Range or Williams %R as a helpful technical indicator. The RSI operates in a range-bound area with values between 0 and 100. A reading from -80 to -100 would signal an oversold situation. Value stocks are typically cyclical in nature and investors may be looking to buy and hold these types rather than try to squeeze out some short-term profits. The Williams %R is a momentum indicator that helps measure oversold and overbought levels.

Investors may use multiple technical indicators to help spot trends and buy/sell signals.

Separately, First Citizens Bank & Trust Co. boosted its position in iShares Core MSCI Europe ETF by 7.3% during the 4th quarter. CCI is an indicator used in technical analysis that was designed by Donald Lambert. Traders may also use the reading to identify overbought/oversold conditions.

The Average Directional Index or ADX is technical analysis indicator used to discern if a market is trending or not trending.

The 14-day ADX for Brazil Index MSCI Ishares (EWZ) is now 25.76. In general, and ADX value from 0-25 would represent an absent or weak trend. A reading under 20 would suggest no trend, and a reading from 20-25 would suggest that there is no clear trend signal. A value of 50-75 would signify a very strong trend, and a value of 75-100 would point to an extremely strong trend. When charted, the RSI can serve as a visual means to monitor historical and current strength or weakness in a certain market.

Parabolic SAR (or PSAR) is a simple, compact indicator that can provide some useful information when taking into account additional trends and factors. In terms of Relative Strength Index, the 14-day RSI is now sitting at 72.19, the 7-day is 82.53, and the 3-day is spotted at 80.29. The ATR basically measures the volatility of a stock on a day-to-day basis. On the other side, a stock may be considered to be in a downtrend if trading below the moving average and sloping downward. Investors may also want to set personal financial goals to help ensure that they are staying on the proper track. The RSI, or Relative Strength Index is a popular oscillating indicator among traders and investors. They may be highly optimistic, but will soon realize that it takes more than optimism to secure profits in the stock market. Investing in the stock market is inherently risky, but some stocks may be much riskier than others. There is rarely any substitute for hard work and dedication. Many will choose to combine the two methods in order to get a more well-rounded view of the stock. Branching out into uncharted waters may help broaden the horizon and start the gears grinding for new trading ideas. A move above 70 is widely considered to show the stock as overbought, and a move below 30 would indicate that the stock may be oversold.
