SpaceX to send a Tesla Roadster into outer space

03 December 2017

Let me give you a quick flashback, Tesla unveiled its first electric Semi Truck and Roadster fastest sports vehicle.

Always willing to up the stakes of an already hard situation, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has said the first flight of his company's Falcon Heavy rocket will be used to send a Tesla Roadster into space.

The CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk has claimed that the Falcon Heavy rocket's first trip to space will accompany a Tesla Roadster into space.

Its cargo? A Tesla Roadster with David Bowie on the stereo.

SpaceX has revealed the updated schedule for Falcon Heavy's debut flight.

The rocket, known as the Falcon Heavy, will lift off from Kennedy Space Center, near Cape Canaveral, Florida using the same launchpad as Apollo 11, Musk tweeted late Friday in the U.S. The billionaire who is also famous for his futuristic claims is now planning to put his personal Tesla into Mars' orbit.

"She will remain in space for billions of years, if not explode at the start", said Musk. The company pushed back Heavy's maiden flight a couple of times: it was originally gunning for a summer launch but eventually moved it to November (and then again to December).

Company reps previously spoke of how hard it is to build such a large rocket powered by three Falcon 9 cores.

SpaceX's Falcon Heavy, its most powerful reusable rocket to date, may have its initially dispatch before the finish of the year after all - and it will incorporate Elon Musk's one of a kind Tesla. On the last day of November, SpaceX announced that it had to push the launch back yet again to next year. Musk's tweets seem to negate reports from prior this week that the Falcon Heavy dispatch wouldn't happen until mid-2018.
