Closings and garbage for Thanksgiving week

Garbage service will be delayed by one day in the City of Nederland on Thursday, Nov. 23 in honor of Thanksgiving. There will be no residential or business deliveries.

For people who normally have garbage pickup on Thursday, it will be picked up on Friday.

ART bus service will be suspended November 23, in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.

City of Sonoma offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Recycling should be placed at the curb by 7:30 ensure collection. It re-opens at 6 a.m. Friday.

Commodities and stock markets: Closed on Thursday.

All convenience centers will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, and open on Friday.

County and state offices will also be closed. All three centers will be open Saturday.

Manatee County government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. For information, call Emergency Management at 904-824-5550.

St. Joseph public schools: Closed Thursday and Friday.

· All recreation centers will be closed November 23-24.

Manatee County public libraries will be closed for Thanksgiving from Thursday through Sunday, resuming a normal weekly schedule on Monday.

MCAT fixed route, Handy Bus, and Longboat Key Shuttleservices will not be available on Thanksgiving Day.

Rolling Hills Consolidated Library: Closed Thursday.
