Texas prosecutor fired after allegedly assaulting and belittling Uber driver

15 November 2017

District Attorney Faith Johnson released a statement regarding the incident which she said Warner's actions are beneath the integrity of the District Attorney's Office. Warner had accused Platt of refusing to take her home, beacuse he was allegedly not following the directions given by his navigational device.

A Dallas County assistant district attorney was sacked Monday after allegations that she assaulted, belittled, and accused an Uber driver of kidnapping her Friday night.

Following the publication of the incriminating recording by the Dallas Morning News, the District Attorney's Office said that an internal investigation into the incident had been launched and would provide more information in due time. "I'm an assistant district attorney so shut the fuck up".

"I'm sorry that it cost her her job".

"Then we'll wait for the cops", the woman retorts.

"It's not kidnapping. Ma'am you are free to leave", Platt responds. "I forgive her." But Warner's employer was not so forgiving. What a joke... Oh my god, you're an idiot. Platt: "I'm asking you politely to please step out of my vehicle".

Platt stopped the vehicle and asked Warner to get out.

"You are a legitimate retard", the woman says. I NEVER assaulted my driver or touched him in any way. "What a joke. Jesus Christ, I'll make sure Uber knows what an [expletive] joke you are".

While Platt told The Dallas Morning News that "my only hope is that she learns from this and she apologizes", the outlet revealed Monday that Warner had been fired.

The police finally arrived and Platt said he was anxious that he would get in trouble.

Warner: "So under the law, it's recklessly keeping me from where I was going, and you have done that". "But I didn't call the cops". "Then the cop said, 'You good?' and I said, 'I guess so.' I should've said, 'No, I'm not good.' It was intimidating. I want the cops to come so that they can fuck you up, that's what I want".

There was no admission by Warner that she had been drinking on that night. "You're committing a third- to first-degree felony". I felt uncomfortable with the route he was taking me.

"Although criminal charges have not been filed, her behavior is contrary to this office's core principal of integrity and it will not be tolerated", Johnson said.

After about five minutes, Platt says, he called 911 and started recording Warner.

Adding, 'As public servants, we represent the people of Dallas County and are examples of justice, professionalism, and ethical behavior both inside and outside of the courtroom. When she refused, he called police.

"There's two sides to every event", Schulte tweeted. "@dallasnews @CityOfDallas Horrible human @jody_warner needs to be FIRED for berating and threatening a good human with her self-inflated power and position #scumbag", wrote one woman in a fairly typical post. She wrote, in part, "I am so excited to be a ROOKIE on Team Blonde this year and to participate in the incredible organization that is BvB Dallas ('Blondes v. Brunettes')".

Platt, who could not be reached for comment, said he was "totally afraid" of being arrested when police arrived. "She kept saying she's an assistant DA and said, 'Who are they gonna believe?"
