Destiny 2 Xbox One X and PS 4 Pro updates coming

10 November 2017

A Reddit user, EyeBraveheart confirmed that buying a new cable and plugging it into his new Xbox One X caused the console to start working normally. Many other games have different modes on the Xbox One X. For example, Xbox One X players will have three graphical settings to choose from in Rise of the Tombraider Native 4k, Enriched Visuals, and high frame rate. While it would have been nice to have seen these enhancements when the Xbox One X released on November 7, it's nice for Bungie to finally provide a clear comment on its enhancements at all.

Bungie has chose to give Destiny 2 a facelift, to satisfy all those Guardians that own a PlayStation 4 Pro or the newly-released Xbox One X. According to the blog post on Bungie's website, the patch that will upgrade the game for the new consoles will launch on December 5th, along with Season Two and Curse of Osiris. Even so, it's exciting to see more games are joining the enhanced list for Xbox One X.

The update will be rolling out on December 5th alongside the release of the Curse of Osiris expansion and Season 2.

When Destiny 2 was first revealed, it was hard getting a straight answer from Bungie as to whether or not it would receive enhancements on Xbox One X. Speculation pointed to Sony's marketing deal with Bungie which promoted Destiny 2 on PlayStation 4 for the developer being unable to answer questions about specific enhancements for Microsoft's system.

If you're migrating to these new consoles, or already have, we'll make it worth your investment.

Bungie also delved into some of the known Destiny 2 issues on PC. Everything you do with a clan member on your fireteam will grant you twice the XP during the event. If you are dedicated to playing solo, there will be future Clarion Calls that won't require you to play with a clan.
