Those who followed the program closely have been lauding Wimbush's talents since he arrived on campus, and on Saturday afternoon he will finally get his chance to start for the Irish.

Year after year Notre Dame fans are perplexed by the question regarding who will lead the charge at quarterback.

The combination of left tackle Mike McGlinchey and left guard Quenton Nelson was as good as advertised, while the right side featured a two-man tackle rotation of redshirt freshman Tommy Kraemer, who started, and true freshman Robert Hainsey.

"I think you saw it: Guys just rotating in and we didn't skip a beat", senior rover Drue Tranquill said.

The tunnel is apparently so narrow that it forces the visiting team to go single-file to come onto the field. Allen is now the head coach, and the team has taken a "defense first" mentality throughout camp. For a young player like Littman, Romagnolo believes that the experience off the back line gives her a huge advantage. "I feel like we're prepared for this game". "I'll learn", Wimbush said.

At 6-foot-1 and 228 pounds, Wimbush is a big quarterback with athletic ability, sophomore cornerback Linwood Crump said.

Willie Taggart's first order of business is to fix the defense.

"We're going to have a much more robust production utilizing not only our camera sources but a lot of what they're doing to help complement what we're doing", says Hyland. "He can be unsafe but he ain't scaring nobody". Josh Adams is also back at running back after leading the team in rushing previous year, but he was under 1,000 yards. Adams rushed for more than 800 yards in each of his first two seasons at Notre Dame. Fellow back Tony Jones Jr. also scored one rushing touchdown. Notre Dame was a mess a year ago and is now working in a new quarterback as well. Equanimeous St. Brown led the Irish in receiving with 80 yards on 4 receptions.

However, after watching his performance against the Owls, it's clear that Wimbush is capable of taking this team to where they want to be. Off the field, we're all good friends. The game kicks off at 3:30 PM EST in Notre Dame Stadium, Notre Dame, Indiana. The Owls allowed more than 300 yards in total offense in their 34-27 loss to Memphis in 2016.
